In 2003 Jon was successful in bidding against several global IT companies including Oracle Corporation and Anite Public Sector for the supply and delivery of new Social Security systems for UK Local Government.

He was able to win these contracts against strong opposition because he offered a proven, cost-effective solution which demonstrated his trademark ease of use through simplicity of design.

His Supporting People system is now integrated as an Oracle 11i custom application and interfaces with SAP to administer more than £100M pa in welfare benefits plus several thousand property specific, client-related services across the United Kingdom.

The system was implemented on time, within budget and approved for use by the Audit Commission. In recognition of his “invaluable contribution” to the public sector he was personally invited to Westminster to discuss the achievement with the UK Minister for Local Government.
